Kenya will stage a dry run to fully test the equipment for the hosting of the 17th Senior Africa Athletics Championships at the Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi on July 22.

World 800m champion Caster Semenya has been left out of the South African team to the 17th African Athletics Championships in Nairobi which start on July 28.

Over 1,300 athletes and 700 officials from 54 nations are expected to travel to Nairobi for the 17th Senior African Athletics Championship, which will be staged at Nyayo National Stadium from July 28 to August 1.

The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) has given the African Athletics Championships Local Organising Committee a nod of approval for its efforts.
