Oke soars to 17.05m British League record in Copthall

Nigeria and Woodford Green's Tosin Oke turns up a man of the match performance of 17.05 metres in the men's Triple Jump at the first Premiership match in this season's British Athletics League, at the Barnet Copthall Stadium, Hendon, North London this evening.

Oke, whose jump was a League record, will now focus his attention on competing at the NNPC/ ExxonMobil NigeriaTrack and Field Championships (Nigeria's African Senior Championships / Commonwealth Games Trials) in Calabar, Cross-Rivers State of Nigeria later this month.

But, Briton Ryan Scott came charging through to win the men's 100m in 10.37 seconds and deny Nigerians Deji Tobias of Windsor, 2nd in 10.48 seconds and Hakeem Ogunyemi of Enfield, third in 10.50 seconds.
