Magdalyne Masai, her sister Linet Masai, and Jake Robertson, Magdalyne’s husband who has a marathon PB of 2:08:26, will give it their all over 42.195 km.
Yeshi Chekole, Hawi Feysa and Magdalyne Masai all have as their goal, breaking the course record of 2:19:10 at the 41st Mainova Frankfurt Marathon on Sunday.
Among the runners targeting fast times are Kenya’s Eric Kiptanui, Ethiopia’s Herpasa Negasa, and Kenya’s 2009 World 10,000m Champion Linet Masai.
Kenya’s Samwel Mailu broke the nine-year-old course record at the Vienna City Marathon, finishing in 2:05:08, with Austria’s President Alexander Van der Bellen holding the finishing tape.
