With Ethiopia vs Kenya in the men’s Valencia Half race, women’s 10K record holder Agnes Jebet Ngetich will make her debut at 21.1km in the city where she achieved her world record in January.
Agnes Ngetich from Kenya broke the women’s world record for the 10km distance, achieving a time of 28:46 at the 10K Valencia Ibercaja event held on Sunday.
The world and Olympic 10,000m medallist also becomes just the second athlete in history to hold world records for 5000m, 10,000m and the half marathon.
Kenya’s Abraham Kiptum broke the men?s world record at the IAAF Gold Label road race, clocking 58:18 to take five seconds off the mark set by Eritrea’s Zersenay Tadese in 2010.
