I saw this coming. Since the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) inavertedly revealed that they were carrying out a gender verification test on 18-year-old winning athlete Caster Semenya, they committed the mistake that could have effectively ruined the life and athletic career of a young promising girl from rural South Africa.

G'day again, yup it's been a while and a half since my last proper update (April 8th). I wish I could say things have been going great or even well. There have been a few bumps along the way so I'll do my best to recap what's transpired since my last meaningful update.

G'day & thanks for coming by again. Another week has come and gone and yet I still find myself looking way way way ahead. I was speaking w/ my coach (Lorraine Moller) recently after a run, and mentioned how I couldn't remember the last time ONE single day had passed by that the thought/dream of the Beijing Olympics didn't enter my min mind in one way or another.

G'day again hope everyone is feeling good and HEALTHY. From what I've read here and there online, this has been a pretty tough Flu season in many different areas of the U.S. Having just (finally) recovered from what I believe to be my first bout with it, I can attest that it indeed sucks!

Sick,, Flu et al - Rob Mandje

G'day, this will be a brief entry, as my last 7 days have been less than stellar. I woke up with the FLU last Sunday (02/10) after enjoying a solid workout on Saturday. I'm new to the Flu, so I didn't fully embrace it at first, or know what was wrong with me. Over the next few days I would go through a myriad of symptoms.

I wasn't sure how/where or even when to start blogging again. The season opener - Bayo- Adio

My first track meet went pretty good. I started off the bar at 2.10m, cleared it, went up to 2.15m, cleared it and then 2.20m.

I had pretty good jumps at it. but didn't clear it. but i decided to skip to 2.27m which is 7" 5' 3/4, the Olympic B standard to get a feel for how it's gonna feel, my coach said i might as well start jumping at it, and it wasn't that bad, but i didn't make it.
