XIX Commonwealth Games 2010, New Delhi, India - October 3-14, 2010

The XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 holds in Delhi, India from October 3-14, 2010.

Image removed.Shera, the mascot, is the most visible face of the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi.

His name comes from the Hindi word Sher – meaning tiger.

Shera truly represents the modern Indian. He is an achiever with a positive attitude, a global citizen but justifiably proud of his nation’s ancient heritage, a fierce competitor but with integrity and honesty.

The Athletics event of the XIX Commonwealth Games will be hosted at the renovated 60,000 capacity Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, named after the first Prime Minister of India, situated ear the Central Government Offices (C.G.O.) Complex in the Lodhi Road area.

Out of 46 events for Men & Women 44 events will be held over seven days from 6 - 12 October.
