Warri Relays/CAA Grand Prix rescheduled to July 24

The 2015 Warri Relays/CAA Grand Prix has been rescheduled to July 24, 2015 at the Warri Township stadium in Delta-State, the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has confirmed.

The 2015 Warri Relays/CAA Grand Prix has been rescheduled to July 24, 2015 at the Warri Township stadium in Delta-State of [link id=”5″ tax=”category” text=”Nigeria” target=”_blank”], the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has confirmed.

The meet director and technical chair of the AFN, Navy Commodore , said: “This is due to a careful re-assessment and conclusion that the former date would not be to the best interest of our athletes.

“We want the Meet to be a means to work-up the athletes towards the World Championships/All Africa Games National trials, which is scheduled to hold a week later.”

“It is pertinent to note that this system has been the practice in the past 3 years we have been holding the Grand Prix event,” Nesiama added.

The 2015 Warri Relays/[link id=”169″ tax=”post_tag” text=”CAA Grand Prix” target=”_blank”], themed ‘Inspiring Fresh Speeds of the Baton’ was initially scheduled to hold on May 18, 2015 at the same venue.

The [link id=”168″ tax=”post_tag” text=”Warri Relays” target=”_blank”] is a [link id=”174″ tax=”post_tag” text=”Confederation of Africa Athletics (CAA)” target=”_blank”] Golden Label event.
